Dr. Hannah King is an Associate Professor at Durham University, affiliated with the Department of Sociology. She serves as Deputy Director of Research and Co-Director of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Programme. Her research spans youth marginalization, domestic/sexual violence, and women’s prison experiences, with a focus on participatory methodologies.
- Education: PhD in Social Policy from the University of York.
- Current Roles: Seconded to the Youth Futures Foundation as an ESRC Policy Fellow; Editor of YOUNG (Nordic Journal of Youth Research).
Research Interests: Youth transitions, gender-based violence in festivals, prison education, and participatory approaches with incarcerated populations. She co-facilitates prison-university Think Tanks, emphasizing equality in criminal justice education.
