Hannah Kim is a Post Doctoral Scholar (Research Fellow) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, affiliated with the Motivation and Cognition Neuroscience Lab. Her office is located in Beecher Hall 204.
Her research investigates how past experiences shape cognitive processes, with primary focus on aversive learning mechanisms. She examines the neural and behavioral pathways through which negative experiences influence attention allocation, decision-making strategies, and response selection patterns. This work bridges experimental psychology and neuroscience to understand maladaptive learning processes relevant to anxiety disorders.
Dr. Kim's research falls within cognitive neuroscience and behavioral psychology, emphasizing translational applications for mental health interventions. Her methodology integrates computational modeling with neurobehavioral experiments to quantify learning dynamics in aversive contexts.
The Motivation and Cognition Neuroscience Lab, where she conducts research, specializes in the neural basis of motivated behavior using multimodal approaches including psychophysiology and computational modeling.
No public information is available regarding scientific awards, student advising, or research grants for Dr. Kim at this time.
