Jarosław Michałowski

Professor Jarosław Michałowski is a psychologist, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, and supervisor at SWPS University. He leads the Emotion Neuroscience Laboratory within the Faculty of Psychology and Law in Poznań, Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. His research explores the neural bases of emotional experiences, the interplay between emotions and cognition, and the neurobiological underpinnings of anxiety disorders and procrastination.

He is a certified cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and schema therapist, treating patients with anxiety disorders, depression, and relational difficulties. His projects include studying the neural correlates of procrastination, emotional contagion, and fear's impact on attention.
