Hannah Kim is an Associate Professor of History and Coordinator of the Social Studies Education Program at the University of Delaware’s College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on U.S.-Korean relations in the early to mid-20th century, with a current book project examining transnational influences on American perceptions of Korea. She co-coordinates the History/Social Studies Education program and leads the Collaborative to Diversify Teacher Education, addressing equity in educator recruitment and retention.
Education: B.A. from Bryn Mawr College; Ph.D. from University of Delaware.
Research interests include transnational communities, Cold War politics, and educational diversity. Her article on the 1958 murder of In-Ho Oh in Philadelphia earned prestigious awards for its interdisciplinary analysis of Cold War-era social dynamics.
Key contributions include bridging historical scholarship with K-12 education reform, emphasizing inclusivity and underrepresented groups in teaching professions.
