Hannah Feldman

Hannah Feldman is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Water Futures and affiliated with the School of Cybernetics at The Australian National University (ANU). Her research focuses on youth climate activism, environmental governance, and interdisciplinary approaches to water management. She holds a PhD in Science Communication (ANU, 2023), an MSc in Science Communication (ANU, 2014), and a BSc (Physics with Astronomy, Curtin University, 2013).

Her work on youth climate protests analyzes humor’s role in protest messaging and identifies structural barriers to participation. Recent projects include Understanding Future Leadership Needs (2024–2027) and the One Basin CRC Tier 1 Partner Agreement (2022–2032), focusing on leadership development and integrated water resource management.

She has collaborated on interdisciplinary teams addressing water futures, combining technical systems with socio-political frameworks. Her grants emphasize early-career researcher training and participatory governance models.
