Hannah Durham is a Lecturer in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She teaches design studios, research dissertations, and modules on architectural history, theory, management, practice, and law across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Her academic affiliation includes membership in the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Architects Registration Board (ARB), and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Research Interests: Hannah focuses on architectural education, diversity and inclusivity in architecture, storytelling in architectural practice, oral history methodologies, the intersection of time and memory in architecture, women architects, soundscapes, theatrical stage mechanisms in design, flexible architecture, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Her work bridges narrative-driven design and practical innovation.
Publications and Research: Her recent publications explore the use of animation and room models in architectural design and historical contributions of women architects. These works align with her interests in narrative techniques and gendered histories.

Professional Contributions: Hannah serves on the RIBA University Validation Board Panel and contributes to admissions for Brookes' undergraduate and postgraduate architecture programs. She co-leads Studio in the Woods, a timber-based design and making initiative. She was an oral history interviewer for the AA XX 100 project (2014–2017), documenting women's experiences in architecture.
