Hannah Decker is Professor of History specializing in German cultural history with research focus on histories of psychiatry and psychoanalysis. Teaches German history from 1815-1963 and history of mental illness.

Research examines diagnostic systems evolution, particularly DSM-III's impact on American psychiatry. Work has received recognition from American Psychiatric Association and Cornell Medical College.
