Hannah Caudill serves as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at Emory & Henry College’s School of Health Sciences. She joined the faculty in Fall 2023, bringing expertise in geriatric care and occupational therapy’s role in caregiver wellness. Her academic background includes a B.A. in Psychology (minor in Biology) from Emory & Henry College (2017) and an OTD from Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences (2020). She teaches courses such as OTD 703 (Applied Neuroscience), OTD 801 (Advanced Practice Topics), and OTD 811 (Fieldwork Seminar).
Her research focuses on healthcare technology in correctional facilities, caregiver support in adult day centers, and psychological impacts of parental divorce. Notable presentations include studies on mobile health apps in jails/prisons (2018-2019) and attachment theory in academic dishonesty (2017). She previously practiced occupational therapy at Smyth County Community Hospital, specializing in acute care and geriatrics.
Outside academia, she values student-centered learning environments and actively engages in fostering critical thinking among students. She advocates for caregiver wellness programs and emphasizes evidence-based practice in occupational therapy education.
