Hannah Altehenger is a Lecturer in the Philosophy Department at the University of Konstanz, where she leads the DFG-funded research project 'The Ethical Dimensions of Self-Control' (2022–2025). Previously, she held teaching positions at Bielefeld University (2017–2020), Zurich University, and the University of Salzburg (2020–2021). She also served as a substitute lecturer in Practical Philosophy at Saarland University during the 2023 summer term.
Her research focuses on Philosophical Moral Psychology, with core interests in self-control, weakness of will, moral responsibility for non-ideal agents, and blame theories. Recent work extends into AI ethics, exploring moral responsibility and blame attribution for artificial systems.
