Hanna Sayar is a PhD candidate at the University of Oslo's Department of Clinical Psychology, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. She is part of the NORTRAS research project investigating Deliberate Practice supervision methods in psychology education. Her work focuses on enhancing therapist skill development through structured, feedback-driven supervision processes. Sayar holds a professional psychology degree (Cand. psychol.) from the University of Bergen.
She has taught courses such as PSYC1302 (relationship competence at the individual level) and PSYC4320 (applied personality psychology) at the University of Oslo. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked as a psychologist at Oslo University Hospital (2021-2024) and Innlandet Hospital Trust (2019-2021).
Her research interests include psychotherapy process studies, relational dynamics in therapy, and the application of psychodynamic principles to personality disorder treatment. Sayar collaborates internationally through the SPRISTAD initiative under the Society for Psychotherapy Research.
