Hanna Jelonek

Professor Hanna Jelonek is a distinguished faculty member at the Faculty of Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she has taught since 1990. Awarded full professorship in 2020, she previously served as dean of the Faculty of Sculpture from 2012 to 2019 and has led the Medal Studio since 2004.

She maintains active studio practice while contributing to academic discourse through FIDEM leadership.

• British Art Medal Society's Struck Medal Award (2018) for commemorating 100 Years of the Duchess Anna Mazowiecka Clinical Hospital (1912–2012)
• Honorable Mention for 'Economic Award of the President of the Republic of Poland' statuette design (2011)
• 1st Prize for Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw centenary medal (2004)
• Honorable Mention for Gdańsk millennium commemorative medal (1997)
• Gold Medal for sculpture 'GURU II' at Warsaw's Sculpture Salon (1996)

As an influential figure in global medallic art, she serves on the Executive Board and as National Delegate of the International Art Medal Federation (FIDEM), shaping international standards while mentoring emerging artists through her Medal Studio.
