Hanna Doose

Hanna Doose is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, specializing in Economic Sociology. Her research spans Comparative Political Economy, Financialization, and Urban politics, with a focus on land ownership structures and business power.

• MA in Political Science from the University of Cologne (2018–2020)
• BSc in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics from the University of Amsterdam (2014–2017)

Research Interests: Her work examines the social and political dynamics of economic systems, including financialization processes, urban governance, and the distribution of economic power through land ownership structures.

Professional Experience: She completed her PhD at the International Max Planck Research School on the Social and Political Constitution of the Economy (2020–2024) and served as a Research Assistant at both the GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences (2018–2020) and the Political Science Department of the University of Amsterdam (2015–2017).
