Hanna Bingel Jones is a Research Fellow in the German Department at University College Cork (UCC), specializing in German literature, literary ecology, and ecocriticism. She holds a PhD from Justus Liebig University Giessen, focusing on religious themes in American prose fiction. Her career includes teaching at Volgograd and Leipzig Universities, followed by a DAAD Lecturer role at UCC (2016–2020). Currently, she leads projects on eco-theological poetry and rewilding German Studies. Her research integrates creation theology, German mysticism, and ecological ethics, challenging traditional disciplinary boundaries in philology.
