Dr. Hande Erkut is a Research Fellow in the Department of Market Behavior at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. She holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University (2013–2017) and has held visiting researcher positions at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (2016–2017) and Columbia University (2015). Her research focuses on behavioral and experimental economics, with a particular emphasis on social norms, repugnant markets, and ethical dimensions of economic behavior. She explores how norms and preferences differ between monetary and non-monetary contexts. Her work has been published in journals like Games and Economic Behavior and Economics Letters.
