Hana Horak

Hana Horak is a tenured Professor at the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, where she has taught since 1992. She currently serves on the Faculty Council and heads the postgraduate study program "Legal and Economic Framework of Doing Business in Europe." Previously, she led the Department of Business Law for three terms and coordinates the Jean Monnet Chair initiatives.

Her research spans:

• Corporate governance and EU market law
• Sustainability integration in legal frameworks (ESG)
• Commercial, competition, and consumer protection law
• Impact of technology on business jurisprudence

Professor Horak directs international projects like the TEMPUS-funded InterEuLawEast (2013-2018) and holds key roles in legal organizations: President of ICC Croatia's CSR Commission, arbitrator at the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and editorial board member for European Company Case Law. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Scopus-indexed International Journal East European Law.

She contributes to executive education at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce's ESG Academy and provides in-house corporate training. Her recent scholarship critically examines director liability, capital sustainability, and EU regulatory responses to financial crises.
