Han Yan

Han Yan is an Assistant Professor at UBC Sauder School of Business specializing in banking, climate finance, and corporate disclosure practices. He holds a PhD from NYU Stern and teaches managerial accounting courses. His research bridges finance and environmental economics, with recent focus on climate risk integration in financial systems.

Prior to his finance career, he conducted significant research in materials science and nuclear engineering, publishing on cyclotron target systems and cellulose-based materials. This interdisciplinary background informs his current work on sustainable finance and environmental disclosure frameworks.
