Han Kyul Kim

Han Kyul Kim, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Cardiology. He received his doctoral degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida in 2017 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Hypertension Section/Cardiology Division at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2021, after which he joined the faculty.

Research Interests

Dr. Kim's work focuses on autonomic cardiovascular control in rodent models, particularly investigating central and peripheral mechanisms behind abnormal sympathetic nerve activity in prehypertension and established hypertension. His research examines physiological responses to physical and chemical stressors that mimic exercise.
