Han-Huei Tsay

Dr Han-Huei (Crystal) Tsay is an Associate Professor of Management (Teaching & Education) and Deputy Head of the Executive Business Centre at the Faculty of Business, University of Greenwich. She is also a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, a Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), and Academic MCIPD.

• PhD in Management from George Washington University (USA)
• Teaching experience at George Washington University and Richmond, the American International University in London
• Co-Director of the Scholarship Excellence in Business Education (SEBE) initiative

Crystal Tsay's research focuses on two agendas: motivational virtual learning environment (VLE) design and cross-cultural management education. She has led award-winning teaching-enhancement projects, including gamification in VLE and psychological/social capital development for Chinese Direct Entry students. Her work emphasizes evidence-based pedagogical approaches and inclusivity in education.

She has contributed to curriculum redesign, served on the Academic Council (2018-2021), and participated in the University's Closing BAME Awarding Gap project (2021-22). Additionally, she translated the research methods book 'Analysing Quantitative Data' from English to Chinese and co-organized the Washington DC area health innovation leadership summit in 2012.

She has been repeatedly recognized for her teaching excellence and mentorship, including shortlisting for Supervisor of the Year (2021) and nominations for Greenwich Student Union Student Led Teaching Awards since 2018.

Dr Tsay actively engages in academic service, including ad-hoc reviewing for conferences and journals. During the pandemic, she and her teams sustained student learning engagement and wellbeing through creative online teaching methods, reflecting her commitment to adaptive education strategies.
