Grace Huey-Yuh Lin is a part-time Adjunct Professor of Chinese at Meredith College since Spring 2016, specializing in teaching Chinese language and culture courses such as Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Chinese. Previously, she taught at Appalachian State University and Elon University. She holds an Ed.D. and M.Ed. in Second Language Education from the University of Houston, and a B.A. in History from National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan.
Her research focuses on second language education, cultural integration, and Chinese literary studies. Notable works include a book on heritage language maintenance among Chinese Americans (2008) and scholarly articles on Chinese poetry’s philosophical foundations (2018) and sociolinguistic apology strategies (2017).
Awarded the Freeman Foundation Scholarship and Meredith’s Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award (2020-2021), Dr. Lin has presented on teaching methodologies like the Natural Approach in Chinese poetry education. She organized a Chinese Cultural Exhibition at Meredith College’s Carlyle Campbell Library.
