Hamza Abdurezak is a Senior Lecturer at the Brandeis International Business School, Brandeis University. He teaches graduate-level courses in corporate finance, financial modeling, investments, and mergers & acquisitions across programs including MSF, MBA, MA, MSBA, and BA/MA. His affiliations include Harvard Kennedy School, Fletcher School, Tufts University, and others. He advises graduate students on industry projects in finance and consulting.
- Education: PhD (Tufts University), MPA (Harvard Kennedy School), BA (Addis Ababa University), all focused on finance/economics.
Research interests include hedge fund risk-return dynamics, alpha-beta decomposition, risk profiling, and corporate financial modeling. He has consulted for institutional investors and served as an economist in Ethiopia. Awards include FRM certification from GARP.
Prior to academia, he worked in the Ethiopian government and financial services industry. Professional activities include book projects on corporate financial modeling and valuation.
