Hamish Christie

Hamish Christie is an Associate Professor of Practice and Coordinator of the Organic Laboratory at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Education, University of Arizona. He holds a B.Sc. (1996) and M.Sc. (1998) from the University of Adelaide, and a Ph.D. (2003) from the University of California, Berkeley. His postdoctoral work (2004-2006) was at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

His research focuses on Chemistry & Biochemistry Education and Synthetic Methods Development. Notable contributions include enantioselective synthesis strategies and total syntheses of natural products like apoptolidinone and marine-derived compounds.
