Hamidreza Bagheri is a Tutor at the School of Psychology & Sport Science, Bangor University. His research focuses on language attitudes, bilingualism, and cognitive neuroscience, particularly using ERP methodologies. He holds an MA in ICT-based investigation of acculturation and pragmatic comprehension, and is completing a PhD titled 'Accent affects credibility judgment, and modulates access to meaning in a culture specific context: an ERP investigation' under Prof. Guillaume Thierry and Dr. Patricia Bestelmeyer.
His work explores how language exposure influences explicit and implicit attitudes toward Welsh and English, contributing to language revitalization studies. Recent research includes a 2025 article in the Journal of Language and Social Psychology, co-authored with Tamburelli, Breit, and Gruffydd. He presented findings at a 2024 conference on language attitudes in bilingual communities.
