Hamid R. Sohrabi

Professor Hamid R. Sohrabi is Executive Director of Murdoch University's Health Futures Institute and Director of the Centre for Healthy Ageing. Holds joint appointment as Professor of Psychology and Clinical Neuroscience.

Research focuses on preclinical Alzheimer's diagnosis, dementia prevention strategies, and biomarker discovery. Leads international collaborations on blood-based biomarkers and neuroimaging. Published 160+ peer-reviewed papers on cognitive aging and neurodegeneration.

Awards include:

• Murdoch VC Distinguished Achievement Award (2024)
• Australasian Neuroscience Society Medallion (2024)
• Early Career Research Excellence Award (2014)

Current projects investigate sensory interventions in aged care, exercise impacts on biomarkers, and diagnostic protocols for cognitive decline.
