Hamid Ghaedi

Dr. Hamid Ghaedi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen's University, affiliated with the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine within the School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences. He specializes in Genomic Data Science, with a focus on analyzing genetic data from Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), Whole Exome Sequencing (WES), and RNA sequencing in oncology samples. His research interests include cell biology, genetics, genome structure stability, and genomics.

Dr. Ghaedi holds a Ph.D. in Medical Genetics (2016, Shahid Beheshti University), an M.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology (2012, Tehran University), and a B.Sc. in Clinical Laboratory Science (2008, Shiraz University). He is actively involved in drug discovery, particularly using generative AI for de novo protein design and novel drug development. His work bridges genomic analysis with translational applications in precision medicine.

His research trends emphasize genomic variability in oncology, immune-oncology biomarkers, and lncRNA/miRNA roles in disease.
