Dr. Halima Alnaqbi serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology at Khalifa University, where she bridges engineering principles with biomedical research. Her academic foundation includes dual degrees from Khalifa University and specialized training from the University of Pittsburgh.

Her research program centers on human genetic predisposition to immune-related diseases, with critical work in histocompatibility for UAE organ transplantation patients. She investigates epigenetic mechanisms in familial Multiple Sclerosis and develops novel drug targets for diabetic complications through cancer immunotherapy approaches. Her multi-omics methodology integrates genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data to unravel disease pathways in underrepresented populations.
