Prof. Dr. Halil Ekşi serves as Professor in the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at Marmara University's Atatürk Faculty of Education, where he has held leadership roles including Head of the Division of Guidance and Psychological Counseling since 2012 and former Head of the Department of Educational Sciences (2016-2022). With over three decades of academic service since joining as a research assistant in 1996, he has established himself as a leading figure in educational psychology and counseling.

His work bridges theoretical constructs with practical applications in Turkish and international contexts.
Prof. Ekşi's publication record exceeds 400 scientific works, including 368 WoS-indexed articles with an H-index of 174, demonstrating sustained scholarly impact across psychology, education, and family studies. His recent output shows increasing emphasis on spiritual dimensions of psychological counseling and cross-cultural resilience studies.
