Hakan Seckinelgin

Professor Hakan Seckinelgin is a leading academic in the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE). His work critically examines the intersections between policy-making, knowledge systems, and lived experiences, with a focus on HIV/AIDS policy in Sub-Saharan Africa, civil society dynamics, and institutionalized denialism in Turkey. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Civil Society and teaches courses on global social policy, sexuality, and development. His research bridges anthropology, political theory, and sociology to challenge epistemic hierarchies in international policy frameworks.
