Haiyan Li serves as a Lecturer at Purdue University, teaching foundational writing courses (SCLA 110 and SCLA 111) and graduate-level Educational Studies courses (EDCI 530 and EDCI 559). Her work bridges language education and technological innovation within interdisciplinary academic contexts.
She earned her Ph.D. in Literacy and Language Education from Purdue University, where her dissertation received the Mary Kay Sommers Award.
Dr. Li's research investigates critical challenges in multilingual education through multiple lenses:
- Developing biliteracy curricula for linguistically diverse classrooms
- Designing evidence-based instructional strategies for ELL/ESL learners
- Assessing professional development impacts on educators
- Integrating artificial intelligence to transform language pedagogy
