Haiyan Hu is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Central Florida (College of Engineering and Computer Science), where she leads the Data Integration and Knowledge Discovery Lab. Her work bridges computational biology, bioinformatics, and machine learning to address challenges in biomedical research, particularly in understanding gene regulation, microRNA, and long non-coding RNA mechanisms linked to diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.
