Haitao Liu is Professor and Department Chair of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh. His research explores nanoscale surface phenomena, focusing on interfacial properties of 2D materials and DNA-based nanofabrication techniques.
The Liu Group investigates environmental effects on carbon materials' surface properties and develops DNA-templated methods for semiconductor device fabrication. Recent work examines wettability of 2D materials and atomic layer deposition on nanostructures.
Publications demonstrate expertise in surface characterization techniques and nanoscale manufacturing. Article trends show progression from fundamental surface science to applied device engineering using biomolecular templates.
