Dr. Hai Wang is a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering & Cybersecurity within the Computer Science Research Group at Aston University's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and has held research positions at the University of Southampton and University of Manchester prior to joining Aston in 2009.
His research encompasses:
- Semantic web technologies and knowledge representation
- Formal methods for real-time concurrent systems
- Software engineering processes and UML modeling
- Applications of machine learning in finance and sports analytics
Recent publications demonstrate expanding interdisciplinary work applying machine learning to financial forecasting, sports performance analysis, and risk prediction. His teaching portfolio includes Object-Oriented Software Process, Requirements Engineering, and Enterprise Application Technology courses. Dr. Wang maintains laboratory resources supporting student research in software engineering and cybersecurity.
