Hagai Shaham is a Professor at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University, and an Artist in Residence at Stony Brook University's Strings Department. Renowned for his violin virtuosity, he studied under Ilona Feher, Emanuel Borok, and others. His career spans prestigious orchestras like the Royal Philharmonic and collaborations with conductors such as Zubin Mehta. Shaham has recorded over 30 albums for labels like Hyperion and Decca, praised internationally. He co-founded the Ilona Feher Foundation to support young violinists and serves on jury panels for major competitions, including the Shanghai Isaac Stern Violin Competition.
Performances highlight venues like Carnegie Hall, Royal Festival Hall, and festivals in Salzburg and Vienna. As an educator, he teaches at masterclasses (e.g., Heifetz Institute, Keshet Eilon) and leads the Shaham-Erez-Wallfisch Trio.
