Hadžikadunić Fuad is a Full Professor at the University of Zenica's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Mechanical Construction. He holds leadership roles including Vice-Rector for Scientific and Research Work (since 2023), Head of the Department of Structures and CAD Technologies (since 2019), and former Dean (2014–2022). His expertise spans 3D CAD/CAE, structural integrity, numerical simulations (FEM), and experimental measurements in mechanical systems.
Education: PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2011) from University of Zenica. Professional experience includes roles at Željezara-Zenica (1996–1999) and academic tenure since 1999.
Research Interests: Focus on advanced CAD/CAE techniques, analysis of welded and renewable energy structures, vibration stress reduction, and application of the Finite Element Method. He actively contributes to international journals (AJSE reviewer since 2015) and conferences, with over 73 conference papers and 196 professional projects.
Recent Articles Trends: Recent work emphasizes structural integrity of pressure vessels, probabilistic reliability analysis, fracture mechanics in welding, and thermal cycle simulations. His research bridges theoretical FEM modeling with practical industrial applications, particularly in mechanical construction and material substitution.
Awards: No specific awards mentioned, but recognized through extensive peer-reviewed publications and international collaborations.
Advising & Grants: Mentored 4 doctoral, 3 master’s, and 35 bachelor’s theses. Led 20 scientific projects, engaged in ERASMUS+/CEEPUS mobility programs, and collaborated with industry on expert projects.
Labs & Teams: Director of the Applied Mechanics Laboratory, focusing on experimental measurements, numerical analysis, and development of projects addressing complex machine structures and industrial challenges.
