Prof. Hacer Aktürk is a Professor at Koç University Hospital, specializing in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. She holds an associate professor title since 2017 and has served at Koç University Hospital since 2019. Previously, she worked at Zeynep Kamil Maternity and Children Teaching and Research Hospital as an Associate Professor (2017–2019) and as an Attending Physician (2015–2017). She completed her medical education at Marmara University (1995–2001), followed by Pediatrics Residency at Marmara (2004–2010) and a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Istanbul University (2010–2015).
Her clinical interests focus on vaccination strategies, managing recurrent infections in children, respiratory and viral infections (e.g., influenza, EBV, tuberculosis), HIV, congenital infections, zoonotic diseases, and healthcare-associated infections. She is an active member of the Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunization.
