Prof. Zeynep Seda Uyan is a renowned pediatric pulmonologist currently affiliated with Koç University School of Medicine and Koç University Hospital since 2017. She previously held academic and clinical roles at Kocaeli University and Marmara University, contributing significantly to pediatric respiratory medicine.
- Education: Medical Education (1992-1998), Pediatrics Residency (1999-2003), Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship (2004-2008) at Marmara University School of Medicine
- Training: Research Assistant at University of Padova, Italy (2008)
Her clinical expertise spans lower respiratory tract infections, chronic cough, congenital airway anomalies, cystic fibrosis, and interstitial lung diseases. She has pioneered research in pediatric respiratory failure, tuberculosis, and rare conditions like primary ciliary dyskinesia.
Prof. Uyan has held leadership roles including Head of Post-Graduation Education Committee at Kocaeli University (2012-2017) and Chair of the Pediatric Pulmonology Study Group in Turkish Thoracic Society (2016-2018). She is an active member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), Turkish Thoracic Society, and National Pediatric Association.
