Habib Ahmed

Habib Ahmed holds the Sharjah Chair in Islamic Law and Finance at Durham University Business School. With a PhD from an unspecified institution, his research focuses on Islamic banking, Shariah compliance, and financial inclusion models.

Research examines crypto assets as property (maal) under Islamic law and designs smart social assistance systems integrating Islamic social capital. Formerly managed research at National Commercial Bank (Saudi Arabia) and Islamic Research Institute. Honored with IsDB Prize (2022) and Cambridge fellowship.
