Prof. Dr. HASAN KILIÇ is a Professor at Bingöl Üniversitesi's Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops. He specializes in crop breeding, agronomy, and sustainable agriculture. His academic journey includes a PhD from Çukurova Üniversitesi (2003), followed by promotions to Associate Professor (2012) and Professor (2017).
Education: BSc (Erzurum Ziraat Fakültesi, 1986), MSc (Harran Üniversitesi, 1995), PhD (Çukurova Üniversitesi, 2003).
Research Interests: Wheat, barley, and chickpea breeding; genotype-environment interactions; sustainable farming practices; organic agriculture; crop physiology under stress conditions. He has led projects on crop rotation systems, weed management, and climate resilience.
Grants & Projects: Includes initiatives like 'Sustainable Wheat-Cotton Cropping Systems' (TAGEM), 'Climate-Resilient Durum Wheat Development' (ICARDA/CIMMYT), and 'Organic Wheat Management' (EU-funded).
Patents: Developed crop varieties such as Kale Ekmeklik Buğday, Hasanbey Buğday, and Barış Arpa, emphasizing drought tolerance and improved quality.
