معرفی
Laure Hadj is a Lecturer in Sociology and Demography at the University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), affiliated with the Department of Sociology, Ethnology & Demography within the UFR Human and Social Sciences and Philosophy. She is a researcher at Curapp-Ess (UMR 7319, UPJV/CNRS) and an associate researcher at the Maurice Halbwachs Center (CMH, UMR 8097) under the Inequalities and Solidarity (INES) axis. Her work bridges academic research and public policy, with a focus on social and health inequalities, migration, and gender-based violence.
Her research interests include migration and access to healthcare, particularly for asylum seekers in the Somme (ANRS-funded APS project), domestic violence and intersectionality in overseas territories (ANR ViDOM project), and precariousness among students and vulnerable populations. She employs mixed and qualitative methods, often in participatory frameworks, and contributes to debates on research ethics, such as compensation for survey participants.
Her recent publications and ongoing projects (2022–2025) reflect a strong trajectory in analyzing solidarity mechanisms during crises (e.g., the Croix-Rouge Chez Vous program during Covid-19), poverty measurement in postcolonial contexts like New Caledonia, and health access disparities among migrant populations. She has published in journals such as Bulletin of Sociological Methodology and Weekly Epidemiology Bulletin, as well as in edited volumes with Springer and L’Harmattan.
Laure Hadj plays a significant role in academic service: she leads the Professional License in Social Intervention at UPJV, serves on the M2 IDEP jury, coordinates the journal Terrains & Travaux, and participates in national scientific committees including Ined.iPOPs and EUR HED. She also co-organizes seminars and conferences on migration, humanitarian action, and methodology.
Her scientific contributions are supported by major funding bodies such as ANR, ANRS, and MESHS Lille. She collaborates with institutions including EHESS, INED, IHEID (Geneva), and the French Red Cross. Her research actively engages with civil society, as seen in the @Exiletsanté participatory project on migrant health.
