H.K.E. Stadermann is a Research Fellow and Teaching and Learning (T&L) Fellow (2024-2027) at the University of Twente, jointly affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Technology (TNW) and the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences (BMS). Her office is located in Ravelijn 4343. She transitioned from laser physics research in Germany to secondary school teaching in the Netherlands, and now specializes in physics education research.
Her research explores:
- Innovative student experiments to enhance hands-on learning
- Nature of Science integration in curricula
- Quantum physics pedagogy for secondary education
- Strategies to make physics accessible and engaging for diverse student populations
Awards and honors:
- Dutch Physics Teacher of the Year Award (2009)
- Dutch delegate at Science on Stage festival, London (2015)
- DUDOC PhD grant for teacher-researchers (2016)
She contributes to research groups:
