Dr. H.J. van de Brake is an Associate Professor at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Economics and Business, where he holds a position in the Department of Human Resource Management & Organizational Behaviour. His research focuses on understanding the dynamics of team structures, particularly the impacts of multiple team membership on employee performance, emotional well-being, and organizational outcomes. He has contributed to studies on leadership effectiveness, role separation in cross-functional teams, and resource allocation challenges in multi-team environments.
His teaching responsibilities include courses such as 'Work Design and Team Processes' for Master’s students in HRM, along with supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in Business and HRM fields.
