Dr. HÜSNÜ TURGUT is a Lecturer in the Department of Principles of Islamic Sciences at Bingöl University's Faculty of Islamic Sciences. He holds a Doctorate in Theology from Erciyes University and has expertise in Kalam (Islamic scholastic theology), medieval Islamic philosophy, and Arabic language studies. His academic journey includes Research Assistant roles at Bingöl University and participation in multiple national/international theology symposiums.
- Education: Open Education High School (2000), Associate Degree in Theology (2010), BA from Erzurum Atatürk University (2010), MA in Philosophy of Theology (Harran University, 2014), PhD in Theology (Erciyes University, 2021).
Research interests focus on classical Islamic theologians like Fahreddin Razi and Ahmed-i Hani, analyzing their methodologies, theological frameworks, and contributions to Islamic thought. His work bridges historical texts with contemporary theological debates, emphasizing conceptual foundations of existence, justice, and epistemological approaches.
He has authored/co-authored books on Kalam scholars, including Ahmed-i Hânî Hayatı ve Kelâmi Görüşleri (2022) and Fahreddin Râzî'de Bilgi ve Yöntem (2024). His articles explore topics like divine justice, cosmological arguments, and Ottoman theological texts. He actively participates in academic events such as the International Saladin Ayyubi Symposium (2016) and the Kemalpaşazâde Symposium (2022).
