Dr. Güler Yavuz Temel is a Researcher at the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Education, affiliated with the Service Center for Empirical Research Methods. She holds a post-doctoral position since July 2022, focusing on advanced assessment methodologies. Her career includes roles as a Post-Doc at Heidelberg University of Education (2018–2022), Assistant Professor at Adiyaman University (2014–2016), and visiting scholar at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2013–2014).
Her research interests span Item Response Theory (IRT), large-scale educational assessments, and computerized adaptive testing. She has contributed to projects such as investigating fairness in assessments, developing formative assessment tools in science education, and improving VERA testing systems' validity.
