Gøril Hannås is Vice-Rector for External Relations and Innovation at the University of Agder (UiA), serving on the university’s management team. She holds an Associate Professorship in Supply Chain Management at the School of Business and Law, where she previously led the Department of Working Life and the master’s program in Industrial Economics and Technology Management. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s in Economics (Pepperdine University), an MBA in Strategy/Management (BI Norwegian Business School), and a PhD in Logistics (Molde University College).
Her research focuses on Supply Chain Management (SCM) in project-based industries, circular economy, contract management, and risk management. Current projects include exploring modularization in road construction and leading a NFR-funded initiative on circular economy for lithium batteries. She teaches graduate and executive courses in SCM, contract management, and industrial purchasing.
Hannås serves on multiple boards, including as Chair of Mechatronics Innovation Lab AS and Deputy Chair of Varodd Industrier. She has held senior roles in both industry and academia, with expertise in public and private sector SCM. Her professional affiliations include roles in Norway Post’s Audit Committee (appointed by the Ministry of Transportation) and leadership in Lean Construction initiatives.
