Gyorgy Toth is a Lecturer in post-1945 U.S. History and Transatlantic Relations at the University of Stirling. He holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Iowa and has taught at Charles University (Prague) and the University of Stirling since 2014. His research focuses on transnational American studies, American Indian history, and cultural memory, with a particular emphasis on transatlantic solidarity movements.

Research Interests: He investigates transnational alliances for American Indian sovereignty during the Cold War, the politics of historical memory, and the intersection of U.S. culture with European institutions. Recent work includes studies on Richard Erdoes' role in Indigenous solidarity networks and the transatlantic politics of Columbus Day commemorations.
Consultancy & Grants: Consulted on projects like the Czech Lacrosse history (as a Native American game) and National Library of Scotland's Indigenous terminology glossary. Holds external examiner roles at Universities of Dundee and Canterbury Christ Church.
Labs/Teams: Active in the University's Centre for Environment, Heritage and Policy (CEHP) and contributes to the Andrew Hook Centre for American Studies (University of Glasgow).
