Gwyn Conaway

Gwyn Conaway is an Associate Professor of Entertainment Design at ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena, CA. Specializing in live-action costume design, 3D garment construction for gaming/animation, and mid-century fashion, she explores intersections of clothing and social psychology. She is a co-author of The Talking Threads: Costume Design for Animators and Illustrators (2019) and a Hugo Finalist (2022). Conaway teaches courses on World Costume Design, 3D Costume Simulation, and Korean Production Design, emphasizing cultural storytelling through apparel.
