معرفی
Dr. Gwyn Bellamy is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the School of Mathematics and Statistics. His research focuses on representation theory, symplectic geometry, and their interplay with algebraic structures. He explores symplectic reflection algebras, Calogero-Moser systems, and the geometric underpinnings of quantum phenomena such as non-commutativity and Coulomb branches.
Education: Bellamy studied at the University of Warwick and the University of Edinburgh before joining the University of Glasgow. His work bridges abstract algebra with quantum physics concepts like symplectic singularities and Kazhdan–Lusztig conjectures.
Research Interests:
- Resolutions of symplectic singularities
- Cherednik algebras
- Deformation-quantization algebras
- Applications to quantum field theory
Collaborations: Collaborates with experts like Dr. Oded Yacobi on Coulomb branches and symplectic singularities. Advises multiple PhD students through the Centre for Doctoral Training in Algebra, Geometry and Quantum Fields.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Algebra research group and Core Structures initiative at Glasgow. Supervises a vibrant team of graduate students exploring advanced algebraic topics.
