Gwendolyn Paradice is an Assistant Professor of English (Creative Writing) at Murray State University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, an M.F.A. from Bennington College, and prior degrees from the University of North Texas. Her research focuses on Creative Writing, Folkloristics, Disability Studies, Native American Literature, and Global Anglophone Literature. She is a Cherokee Nation citizen, identifies as two-spirited, and is hearing impaired.
Key works include the short story collection More Enduring for Having Been Broken (2021), and the collaborative chapbook Carnival Bound (2020). Her scholarly articles explore speculative nonfiction's role in disability writing, emphasizing neurodiverse perspectives.
