Guy Morrell

Dr. Guy Morrell is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the Department of Geography and Environment, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He serves as Adviser to HSBC Asset Management, where he previously led the Real Estate Investment team managing global property funds and equities. His expertise spans real estate investment strategies, portfolio construction, and direct/indirect property markets.

Education: PhD from the University of Reading, BSc (first class honours) from Leicester Polytechnic (now De Montfort University), and Chartered Surveyor status.

Key Awards: Recognized as 'Fund Manager of the Year' in 2016 and received the Alpha Manager rating for 13 consecutive years for the HSBC Global Property Fund.

Professional Experience: Over 40 years in real estate investment, including roles as Global Property CIO at Henderson Global Investors (Nuveen Real Estate), and leadership positions at Prudential Portfolio Managers and Healey & Baker (Cushman & Wakefield).
