Guy Brasseur is a Research Professor and Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg, Germany, and a Distinguished Scholar at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO, USA. He has held leadership roles including Director of the Climate Service Center (CSC), CEO of the Deutsches Klimarechenzentrum (DKRZ), and Director of NCAR's Atmospheric Chemistry Division. His research focuses on climate variability, stratospheric ozone depletion, and chemistry-climate interactions, with contributions to understanding biosphere-atmosphere linkages and solar-terrestrial relations.
