Guus Meershoek

Guus Meershoek is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and a Lecturer at the Police Academy since March 2011. His research focuses on policing practices, evidence-based approaches, and community-oriented strategies, with particular emphasis on Dutch contexts. He contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through work on justice and public safety.

His expertise spans critical reviews of policing systems, citizen engagement in public interest matters, and the ethical dimensions of law enforcement. Recent work explores challenges in evidence-based policing and institutional resistance to reform.
